It is very easy to make your own solar panels if you get the right equipment together before you start your project. The things that you need to create your solar panels are not very expensive, and you can usually find the items at your local hardware store, Menards, Home Depot, or other similar places.
The first thing that you should try to locate and buy is solar cells. You should purchase solder so you will be able to connect them together in the proper manner. The next piece of equipment that you will need is a backing panel for your photo voltaic cells. You can accomplish this by using a small piece of plywood. Plywood is not very expensive, and it is easy to use for your project.
You will need to have a piece of Plexiglas or some sort of clear glass as part of your supplies before you are ready to assemble your own solar panel. Now that you have gathered all the important equipment then you should have some tools like a hammer, screwdrivers, soldering equipment, etc.
The Assembly of your Solar Panel

You will need to make sure that you have a piece of clear glass; plexus-glass is usually preferred in order to finish making the frame. Once you have the batteries soldered to the piece of plywood then you can stand the solar panel upright, putting the glass in front to seal the whole unit. When the whole procedure is completed then you can set your solar panel up facing the south or the sun.
